In April 2008, user terminalspacepunk began posting on the Esoterica Forums seeking help with expelling THE RASTERFLESH, a technological entity which had infected his computer. What followed over the next two months was an alternate reality game chronicling his encounters with the creature. But after multiple strange occurrences, the entire project was deleted from the web. For eighteen years, this ARG has been lost media, until now - and perhaps, it was never an ARG at all, but a glimpse at truly horrifying events...

THE RASTERFLESH EXPERIENCE
Directed by: Alex Hera
Format: alternate reality game / immersive experience
Genre: Horror
Release Date: March 28 2026

Rasterflesh was presented in 2026 as part of The ARGathering, the world's only ARG convention.
Initially masquerading as merely another ARG in the ARGathering Showcase, The Rasterflesh Experience allowed audiences to experience an ARG coming to life around them as an entity living inside screens - The Rasterflesh - escaped the videos playing at the ARGathering and infected the historic Balboa Theater in San Francisco.
As Rasterflesh threatened to get loose, players participated in occult rituals, engaging puzzles, and digital character interactions to confront the Rasterflesh and complete a binding ritual to trap him on customizable CD disk.

The experience was comprised of an introductory short film, an immersive theater show with audience interaction, an environment with puzzles and narrative elements in the theater lobby, an in-universe website, a phone number that could be contacted in real time during the experience, and a playable video game.
